Meet Brad Brookhart

My Journey

Back in high school I wanted to be an architect. While working for an engineering firm after graduating I quickly realized that the part of the day I looked forward to the most was running and lifting weights after work. My true passions were health and fitness.

This led me to further my education at Otterbein University. During my time at Otterbein, I received my personal training certificate and begin training clients. In 2009, I received my Bachelors Degree in Health Promotion and Fitness.

From there, I attended Ball State University where I received my Masters Degree. While at Ball State, I had the opportunity to work with numerous athletic teams and also assisted university faculty and staff members with their different fitness and wellness needs.

After my time at Ball State, I went to The Ohio State University and volunteered with their Olympic Sport department (non-football) for a year. While volunteering at OSU, I also worked at D1 Sports training athletes ranging from 8-16  years old.

I completed my time at Ohio State in May of 2012 and for three months I worked two jobs until I caught my break: an interview for an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at The College of William and Mary.  I got the job and began work in August. While at William and Mary I worked with numerous sports including: football, basketball (men's and women's), soccer (men's and women's),volleyball, gymnastics, baseball and golf.

While my 6 years at William and Mary were extremely fulfilling, in August of 2018, I decided to leave collegiate strength and conditioning to spend more time with my family. However I never lost my passion for strength and conditioning and my love for coaching.

So I founded Brookhart Performance Coaching to offer my knowledge and expertise to help people who want to improve their fitness, upgrade their lifestyle or become an elite athlete.  Whatever your goals, I will be there every step of the way to make sure you reach them.
